This is a combination of our professional sound quality audio board, the 2x DMX-512 ports and 4 digital inputs. It connects to the back of the DMX Core 100 (both 4.3" and 7" models).
Based on the TI TAD5242 DAC you'll get 120dB dynamic range, 192 kHz sampling rate at 32 bits resolution. Not only that, you get both standard unbalanced line-out and balanced differential outputs concurrently. Paired with the latest features in the DMX Core 100 means you can play high quality sound files coupled with lighting cue playback.
This attaches to the back of the main board. Audio comes out on a 3-pin connector for unbalanced line-out and a 5-pin connector for the balanced differential output, both live at the same time. The two DMX-512 ports are on 3-pin connectors and each one works as an output or an input, with port-to-port passthrough. The four digital inputs are on a 6-pin connector, along with a contact-wetting supply and a shared common (cables not included).
The digital inputs take a plain contact closure — a wall switch, a push button, a relay output from an AV system, or an audio-controlled relay. Nothing else is needed to wire them: the board powers the loop itself at about 5 mA per input, so a volt-free contact goes straight between the wetting supply pin and an input, with no external supply, pull-up resistors, or interface hardware. They'll also take 3–30 VDC if you'd rather drive them from your own supply, and all four are opto-isolated.
In the DMX Core 100 each input is an Input Trigger, so a closure can play a cue, apply a preset, start a timeline, or toggle a schedule. Set a preset to "Flash (hold)" and it stays active for exactly as long as the contact is closed, releasing when it opens — which covers door contacts, occupancy sensors, show-control relays, and spotlight triggers that follow a performer.
